Micro-credential expression of interest

We intend to use micro-credentialing as a method to support the expansion of the scope of practice of pharmacist independent prescribers (PIPs) to practice within new clinical areas. This work, commencing in early 2022, will focus on supporting community pharmacists keen to build competence in the area of vaccination.

Micro-credentialing is defined as a qualification evidencing learning outcomes acquired through a short transparently-assessed course or module (1).

We invite you and/or your colleagues to take part in our micro-credential programme for pneumococcal vaccination services. The programme is aimed to support pharmacist independent prescribers working in community pharmacy but all sectors are welcome to join this cohort.

We intend to conduct a using micro-credentialing to increase prescribing by pharmacist independent prescribers.

This initial programme is free of charge and will begin in mid-January 2022. The programme will be delivered in a blended format over the course of two months.
