Module 4: How to use the Easyhaler® device

8th January 2021 by PIP editor Leave a Comment

The aim of this series of modules is to familiarise pharmacists with the function and features of the Easyhaler® range so as to support patients either at the point of supply or during structured reviews.

This is the fourth in a series of four modules.

It is important to us at Pharmacy in Practice that we are very clear about the involvement of colleagues and organisations in the pharmaceutical industry so before enrolling in this module please review the statement below that describes the involvement of our colleagues at Orion Pharma (UK) in the development of this series of modules.

“This medical education online learning module is funded by Orion Pharma (UK) Ltd as part of a commitment towards supporting appropriate use of inhaled therapy. Orion Pharma (UK) Ltd has had input into the module title and reviewed the educational content for quality and factual accuracy.”

Please view the Pharmacy in Practice education disclaimer and privacy policy available here before enrolling. The learning management system that we use may send the user emails in relation to the module that they have enrolled in. This may be to deliver a certificate of completion, an achievement, ask for feedback, send a reminder that you have a course that is incomplete or send notification of successful completion of a course or quiz.

Navigating the module

The module consists of a series of lessons. To progress you must mark each lesson as complete. We have included a range of media, images and links to keep things interesting. As you progress you will gather achievements and there is a quiz at the end to help you check your understanding. A certificate of completion is available upon successful completion of the final quiz. This certificate can be retained for your records.

Feedback

Finally, upon completion of the module, we will offer the chance for you to provide feedback on the module. Please don’t feel obliged but if you have any comments that might encourage the team and also provide thoughts on future topics that you might like covered it would be very much appreciated.

System requirements

The module will work on mobile devices but we recommend that you view this module on a desktop to enjoy all of the features.

Authors

The module was written by pharmacist Michael Stewart and reviewed by Johnathan Laird.

We hope you enjoy the module and we would love to hear if you put some of the principles and information you learn into practice for the benefit of patients.

Johnathan
