Pharmacy champion funding will support NHS Pharmacy First

 

The interim Chief Pharmaceutical Officer Alison Strath has written to stakeholders in Scotland to outline the intention to continue funding for Community Pharmacist Practitioner Champions in 2020-21.

 

The funding of £300,000 will continue. The areas to be covered during 2020-21 are:

 

  • Supporting all community pharmacists and the whole pharmacy team to deliver the NHS Pharmacy First Scotland.
  • Supporting all community pharmacists and the whole pharmacy team to familiarise themselves with the service specification and other documentation relating to the Medicines Care and Review (MCR) service and serial.

 

The funding has been allocated as follows.
