The ‘ART’ of Scottish community pharmacy is all about data

6th October 2020 by PIP editor Leave a Comment

In response to the following article:

Professor Harry McQuillan on the ‘ART’ of community pharmacy and referring to the results of the recent CPS research.

Dear PIP editor,

It is most insightful to read the results of the Community Pharmacy Scotland’s ‘Art of Pharmacy’ practice research.

It is good to see quantifiable data generated from encounters with people who access our services. These people are the greatest advocates of community pharmacy.

These people really value their community pharmacy network. This will increase further with the forthcoming colds and influenza season.

And of course not forgetting the ongoing coronavirus pandemic challenges.

I can only admire and envy the community pharmacy practice developments of Scottish Pharmacy. The NHS Pharmacy First initiative in particular is a real highlight and something that I am envious of from my home in England.

Yours etc.

Michael Achiampong.

Pharmacist.
