There is a dressing that the pharmacist has had in stock for ages and soon will go out of date. It is, however, a little bit more expensive than the cheaper one they also have in stock. The PIP feels that saving her company some money by using up the more expensive dressing is a reasonable course of action to take.
Is it appropriate for the PIP to prescribe this dressing even though it is more expensive than another one that she has in stock?
